St. Peregrine

Patron of Cancer & Serious Illness

St. Peregrine Laziosi is the patron saint of those suffering from cancer and serious illness. His own cancerous leg was miraculously healed overnight, and he lived to age eighty. He is invoked by those facing grave diagnoses.

About This Novena

Peregrine faced a death sentence from cancer — and received a miracle. But more than the physical miracle, his story is one of a man who found Christ at the foot of the Cross and was transformed. He intercedes for healing of body and soul.

OPENING PRAYER

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called 'The Mighty,' 'The Wonder-Worker,' because of the numerous miracles you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. Amen.
